Options Report 2015
I was commissioned by The Student Room to produce their 2015 annual Options Report as their internal design team was at full capacity and the project was needed quickly to meet a set deadline.
The Student Room provides a forum where students share academic and social knowledge and experiences. Includes study help, choosing a university, careers, and life. This report presents insights from an online survey of school and college leavers and current university students on the subject of post-Level 3 options and the way they make related decisions.
I was tasked with improving upon the previous years report within their brand guidelines bringing together the report in a very short time-frame, just one week. The work included creating around 40 different graphs from source data, illustrating the cover and seven section headers, designing the layout and typographic hierarchy.
In order to meet such a tight deadline, a cover, sample spread and a section cover were initially created for feedback and approval of the approach. After some minor amends the rest of the report was produced in the same style.
The final report consisted of 44 pages including the cover and was published both on their website and as a hard copy report. It was completed on time and The Student Room were very happy with the end result.
